This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. About The Role
This post is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician looking to specialise or advance in areas of dispensing practice as a Pharmacy Technician, Higher Level. You will:
* Play a key role in the pharmaceutical care of patients.
* Collaborate closely with the pharmacy team and wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to optimise patients’ medicines and care.
* Support and develop other members of the pharmacy team.
* Benefit from opportunities for service improvement, delivery of education and training and other personal and professional development initiatives.

About You
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
* Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Pharmacy Services
* HN Unit: Procedures for Pharmacy Dispensary Checking Technicians or Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician Award (provided by Buttercups or NPA, 2019 or before)
* Has an HNC in Pharmacy Services Development and Management or equivalent experience. Any applicant who does not hold the HNC in Pharmacy Services Development and Management MUST complete the Band 5 Pharmacy Technician Higher Level HNC Equivalence Mapping Assessment Form and submit it with the application as a supporting document.
