My client specialist secondary school require experienced SEN teaching assistants with experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, .
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. If you're someone who believes in building trusting relationships, promoting positive behaviour, and helping young people reach their potential, we'd love to hear from you. GULFD
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting students with SEMH, ASC and ADHD in their learning – both in and out of the classroom
Working closely with the class teacher to deliver differentiated, KS2-level activities
Helping to create a calm, structured, and safe environment where students feel valued and understood
Supporting students’ emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour using therapeutic strategies
Encouraging communication, social interaction and independence skills
Being a trusted adult who can make a real difference every day
We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, particularly SEMH or autism
A calm, patient and nurturing nature
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A good sense of humour and a flexible, can-do attitude
The ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students
Relevant qualifications or training are an advantage, but a strong passion and willingness to learn are just as important
