About the Role
As our Designated Teacher, you will:
1. Be the key advocate for looked-after children within our school.
2. Ensure their educational needs are met and their voices are heard.
3. Work closely with social workers, carers, and other professionals.
4. Monitor progress and support personal education plans (PEPs).
5. Promote a culture of high expectations and inclusion.
6. Work under the oversight of and report to a designated teacher.

7. Experience working with vulnerable children or in pastoral roles.
8. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
9. A deep understanding of the challenges faced by children in care.
10. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

This is a part-time post: 20 hours, term-time only.
The distribution of hours across the week will be agreed on appointment.
