Role Overview
As the Homes Care Assistant, you will:
* Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice and assist in their daily living.
* Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
* Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
* Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
* Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care – Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.
Qualifications and Requirements
* An understanding of the needs of residents
* An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
* Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
* Experience of providing care (Desirable)
* Experience of working with elders (Desirable)
