DATA CENTRE SECURITY SUPERVISOR: The Security Supervisor will lead and manage a team of Security Officers with direction from the client's Physical Security Site Security Manager (SSM). The role is responsible for managing all day to day aspects of the security function including daily workflow, schedules, and implement security protocols for the site. Related responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Essential Job Function Daily management and administration of the Security function at the facility Line manager for the security team Ensure all personnel on site adhere to and comply with Client Security and access control policies and procedures Work under limited supervision, both independently and collectively within a team environment Respond to safety and emergency situations and maintain a safe and secure work environment Frequent cntact with client personnel, external 3rd party contractors and vendors Work closely with the regional client Security Manager and other department managers to ensure specific program deliverables are being met Conduct continuous threat assessments of the Data Centre and surrounding areas, making suggestions for improvement and taking actions on immediate threats Knowledgeable of and able to enforce all policies/procedures from all security related documentation Duties Manage the site security operations and give clear direction to the security team Manage, report and investigate all security related incidents in accordance with security policy Complete all incident reports and follow-up action in accordance with compliance policy Complete the weekly Governance & Compliance Report every Monday and submit to SSM Manage the day to day operation of all security system infrastructure Manage all the security teams HR matters (Absence, training, staffing levels, shift rota, overtime) in a timely manner Ensure all personnel on site comply with Site Operating Procedures Facilitate site tours for internal and external customers/visitors as required Encourage and foster a team-orientated environment through positive feedback Train, mentor and advise Security staff on new processes and procedures Ensure that all Security Shift documentation is completed, legible and accurate Respond to safety and emergency situations and maintain a safe and secure work environment Deal with customer questions in a prompt, courteous and professional manner Escalate any major issues to the Director, Physical Security in line with policies and procedures Act as the Chief Fire Marshal taking ownership and managing the situation when there is a fire evacuation Job Requirements Experience of working in a physical security related role as a supervisor preferred Experience of security protocols and procedures in a critical environment preferred Must possess or be able to obtain SIA certification Confident, calm decision maker when under pressure, even with incomplete or limited information Able to plan, organize and prioritize workload to meet short deadlines Able to work independently, with minimum guidance Experience in dealing with customer issues and problem solving May be required to complete formal training in an area of specialty Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office 365 Strong communication skills (verbal and written) particularly with team members, line management, contractors and clients Work effectively across all teams and departments to achieve shared goals and deliver business objectives Flexible and available to deal with out of hours emergencies, on call 24/7 Full training, uniform and health and safety equipment are provided, and you will also have access to: • Personal Pension Scheme • Health Insurance Scheme • Discount shopping platform • Employee Assistance Programme • Cycle to Work Scheme Established in 1987, ICTS specialises in the provision of integrated security and customer services within the most demanding environments.
