Job Overview
As a Technical Advisor you will provide expert remote assistance to customers, diagnosing problems using customer symptoms, historical data, connected car data and diagnostics logs. You will only request on‑site patrols where necessary.
Location: Oldbury, office based role.
Hours: 36.25 hours per week, shifts between 0800 and 1900, Monday to Sunday.
Salary: £35,000 plus benefits.
Responsibilities
* Provide essential technical support, advice and repair fixes to customers.
* Communicate clearly and efficiently to resolve breakdowns.
* Use information sources such as customer symptoms, historical data, technical bulletins, connected car data and diagnostics log files.
* Record data accurately in the relevant databases.
* Offer clear advice, simplify information for customers and deliver excellent customer service.
* Meet targets and focus on achieving results.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, and substantial experience in the motor vehicle repair industry.
* Problem solving skills, able to find solutions and help customers move forward.
* Strong communication skills – explain technical information simply.
* Flexible schedule; willing to work outside normal hours on a roster basis including weekends.
* Computer literate and confident using various systems.
