About the Role
Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a large and well-established national children's charity to recruit a passionate and skilled Education Mental Health Practitioner. The role will support the mission to improve access to mental health services for young people, with a focus on delivering evidence-based early intervention support for mild to moderate emotional and mental health issues within educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver structured 1:1 and group-based interventions in schools.
* Support children and young people in self-managing their mental health.
* Conduct informal assessments and develop goal-based outcomes.
* Maintain accurate case records and manage a personal caseload.
* Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately.
* Collaborate with multi-agency partners and attend relevant meetings.
* Contribute to the development of resources and service innovation.
What We re Looking For
* PG Diploma in Educational Mental Health Practice or Psychological Wellbeing Practice (for children and young people).
* Recent and relevant experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
* Competent in delivering low-intensity CBT interventions and undertaking risk assessments.
* Understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and service pathways.
* Familiarity with solution-focused and cognitive behavioural approaches.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and educational systems.
* Competence in using digital platforms and clinical record systems.
