Mechanical & Electrical Job Details Vital are seeking a practical and safety-conscious Mechanical Support Operative to assist in the decommissioning of a factory site. The role will primarily involve the moving, handling, and dismantling of mechanical equipment using appropriate manual techniques and hand tools. Full site induction and task-specific training will be provided. Key Responsibilities Safely move, lift, and handle mechanical equipment in line with site procedures. Assist in the dismantling and removal of machinery, fixtures, and fittings. Use hand tools (e.g., spanners, screwdrivers, hammers) to support mechanical disassembly tasks. Support the segregation and safe storage of equipment, tools, and materials. Maintain good housekeeping standards in all work areas. Follow instructions from the supervisor and work as part of a wider decommissioning team. Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.Essential Requirements Previous experience in a practical, mechanical, or labouring role. Ability to use basic hand tools confidently and safely. Physically fit, with the ability to lift and move equipment as required. Good awareness of workplace health and safety. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions £16.50 per hour
