Art Teacher – Southsea
Full Time | Permanent | October Start | £30,000 – £50,000 per annum
GSL Education are seeking a passionate and skilled Art Teacher to join a secondary school in Southsea on a full-time, permanent basis, starting in October. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative educator to inspire students and contribute to a thriving Art department.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons, fostering a love of creativity and developing students’ skills in practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. This role is ideal for an innovative teacher who can motivate students and encourage artistic expression across all key stages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver stimulating Art lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
* Inspire students to develop their creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources within the Art department.
* Support extra-curricular Art activities, exhibitions, and school events.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management and foster a positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold QTS, be an ECT, or possess an overseas teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
* Be an experienced secondary Art teacher with a passion for creativity.
* Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Be committed to motivating and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
* Have a flexible and adaptable approach, contributing positively to the wider school community.
