Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers? We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team in Sittingbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a stable, long-standing business where your contribution truly matters.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
* Payroll Management: Handling payroll processes, keeping up to date with living wage rates, managing sickness, holiday, and paternity records, pension enrolments, year-end payroll tasks, and apprenticeship paperwork.
* Government Returns: Completing CIS, Tax, VAT, and CITB Levy submissions.
* Accounts: Entering purchase ledger and subcontractor invoices, month-end reconciliations, and verifying subcontractors via HMRC portal.
* Additional tasks include petty cash management and payroll surveys.
