Job title : Cafe and Events Assistant Location: Bisham Abbey, SL7 1RR Working Hours: Casual, Monday to Sunday, Café hours 8am – 3pm or 3pm – 8.30pm and late finishes when events are taking place Salary: Up to £12.21 per hour depending on age Here at Bisham Abbey our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. To deliver these services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we have an opportunity as we are looking to recruit for Cafe and Events Assistants to join our team. Bisham Abbey is one of Sport England`s National Sports Centres and is home to a number of National Governing Bodies of Sport. Bisham Abbey provides excellent facilities to Britain’s leading sports men and women. Bisham Abbey is also a Conferencing and Event Centre, boasting a large number of recently refurbished rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings, corporate events, and team-building days. For the Cafe side of the role, you will support the Cafe Supervisor in delivering a world class customer service within the restaurant and Café. You will be a varied role and some of your duties will include carrying out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout and undertaking record temperature checks whilst ensuring high standards of food hygiene are maintained. You will also make sure that customers are served promptly and efficiently and ensure that financial and cash handling procedures are complied with. For the events side of your role, you will provide hands-on support to the Weddings & Events Supervisor in the efficient coordination and delivery of weddings and various events. This includes assisting with the preparation, execution, and breakdown of events while ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests and visitors. About you The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of staff at Bisham Abbey, pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for customers when required. Level 2 in food safety is desirable as is previous experience in a customer facing environment, however full training will be provided. You will have a passion for the events and hospitality industry and will be flexible within your schedule to be available for weddings and various events when required, as well as possess good communication skills to confidently assist the smooth running of each event at the Abbey.
