We are now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award‑winning team as a Care Assistant at Derby Heights Care Home in Derby.
Responsibilities
Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
* Assisting residents with all personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, and signs of infections, and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
* Working a night shift in Littleover.
* Contributing to the overall care team and maintaining continuity of care for residents.
Requirements
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated initiative and respect towards residents and others in the home.
* Efficient working style, able to comply with reasonable instructions from team members.
* Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
* Commitment to the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable behaviour.
Required Checks
* DBS Disclosure check – cost met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
