Overview
In this senior role, you'll manage and mentor a passionate education team, oversee curriculum delivery, and contribute to the strategic management of the centre alongside the Centre Manager.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the education team, providing guidance, mentoring, performance management, and professional development.
* Develop, plan, and oversee the delivery of high-quality curriculum-linked learning experiences that increase students' understanding of nature and the environment.
* Support the Centre Manager in running the day-to-day operations of the centre and contribute to strategic planning.
* Participate in some hands‑on teaching in the field, working with students of all ages on a variety of science and geography programmes.

Qualifications
We're looking for an experienced Team Leader with proven management experience to join Field Studies Council Juniper Hall. We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing and developing teams, with:
* Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
* At least 5 years relevant work experience, with the confidence to produce and prepare teaching resources, activities and lesson plans that meet curricular requirements.
* A strong work ethic and pride in the quality of your work.
* A flexible, adaptive approach, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* A professional manner and empathy with the Field Studies Council's mission.
* Commitment to personal development and motivation to take on new challenges.
About the Venue
Juniper Hall is a 17th-century country house set in a peaceful wooded valley at the edge of Box Hill, Surrey, in an unspoilt area of the chalk North Downs. Surrounded by beautiful grounds and steeped in history, it's a friendly and rewarding place to work.
Employment Details
* Permanent full-time contract – average 37.5 hours per week (weekly hours may vary).
* Starting salary is circa £32,045 per annum.
* This role is currently eligible for our geographical allowance incentive which means that during your first two years of employment with us, you'll be paid an extra amount each month on top of your usual salary – this extra payment is calculated at 5% of the gross basic salary figure.
