*Summary*
Responsible for repair and maintenance of timber and port handling equipment as required.
Maintaining accurate paperwork and relate information as required to various personnel within the company.
*Workshop Duties*
To carry out service inspection to DVSA standards
Carry out maintenance and repairs with minimum supervision
Carry out crane inspections as per associated service sheets
Fill in all aspects of paperwork to necessary standards
*General*
Use the company computer system to log job cards, times, parts etc.
Keep the workshop clean, tidy and free from hazards as per company H&S policy
Be as flexible as possible with working hours (shift work/overtime)
Be prepared to undertake any internal/external training as required
Undertake any other duties as can be reasonably requested by the company
Overtime rate of £20.18ph
*Competencies and Qualifications*
High level of problem solving ability
Good communication skills
Impeccable time keeping
IT literate
Previous commercial vehicle experience
Demonstrate knowledge as an HGV/Trailer mechanic
Full UK driving licence
City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Repairs & Maintenance
