About the Mechanical Fitter Role
We’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our manufacturing team. You’ll be responsible for assembling mechanical machines and components using a variety of hand, electric, and air-driven tools. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, teamwork, and a strong understanding of engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter
* Assemble machines and subassemblies to specification
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings
* Align and position components manually or using hoists
* Conduct quality checks and complete documentation
* Collaborate with design engineers to resolve build issues
* Support other departments when needed
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Be available for occasional evening/weekend work
What We’re Looking For in a Mechanical Fitter
* Proven experience in mechanical assembly
* Basic fabrication skills (drilling, grinding, etc.)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive and flexible approach to work

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:45am – 4:30pm and Friday: 7:45am – 12:45pm
Hourly Rate:£16.46ph
£32,500-40k per annum
