We're on the hunt for a passionate, talented Junior Sous Chef to join our tight-knit brigade at The Square - a fine dining restaurant and top-tier events venue at the heart of Bristol's vibrant Clifton scene.
As our new Junior Sous Chef, you'll work alongside a team of six chefs and three KPs, producing bold, seasonal, modern British/European dishes in a kitchen that's all about craft, creativity, and camaraderie. From à la carte to weddings, private dining to member events, your day-to-day will be varied, rewarding, and full of flavour.

Competitive Package: £33,200 per year package, comprising a basic salary of £31,000 per year + estimated £2,200 service charge (paid monthly)
Full-time - 5 shifts per week (on a rota, to include weekends and evenings)

Scope to develop towards a Sous Chef position and beyond
What you'll be doing as Junior Sous Chef:
Supporting the Head Chef and working with the team to ensure a smooth service
Supervising and mentoring junior chefs during service
Ensuring smooth, high-quality output during busy services and private events
Helping develop menus that celebrate seasonality and showcase your ideas
Playing a hands-on role in training and developing the team
Solid experience in fresh food, high-quality kitchens (fine dining or events is a bonus)
A taste of leadership skills from previous employment, and a keenness to build those skills with us as Junior Sous Chef
An ability to build trust and play your part in lifting team performance
A calm, positive approach - even when the pass is on fire
Ambition, a sense of humour, and a genuine love for food
