A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive Alternative Provision in Burnley, starting January. This is a full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role:
* Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4
* Work under the guidance of senior leadership to plan, deliver, and assess learning
* Support students with diverse needs, including those with SEN, to overcome barriers to learning
* Foster independence, social development, and effective behaviour management in the classroom
* Contribute to whole-school initiatives and provide learning support in non-lesson-based activities
What We’re Looking For:
* A recognised qualification in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field (minimum Level 4 or equivalent)
* QTS
* Experience teaching or training in a food-related discipline
* A solid understanding of SEN and strategies for inclusion
* Experience planning and delivering learning activities for individuals and small groups
