Job Description
1. Lead improvements in manufacturing process capability through variation reduction, error-proofing, and statistical process control.
2. Collect and analyze data to identify and prioritize opportunities for product and process quality enhancement.
3. Serve as a key member on problem-solving teams to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
4. Act as the primary quality representative on new product introduction teams, ensuring design-for-quality and contract review.
5. Manage major program manufacturing process qualifications and supplier quality development initiatives.
6. Perform product reliability studies and validate corrective/preventive action requests from internal and external customers.
7. Participate in Material Review Board and Configuration Control Board activities.
8. Develop process flow charts, FMEA reports, and statistically valid control plans for manufacturing processes.
9. Apply lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce variation and improve quality.
10. Conduct and participate in quality system, process, and product audits.
11. Provide technical leadership to inspection teams and support product/process certifications and approvals.
12. Ensure compliance with company policies, military standards, and contractual requirements.

The Successful Applicant
13. Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and quality assurance methods.
14. High ethical standards and ability to model organizational values while adapting to changing conditions.
15. Excellent business and technical writing, presentation, planning, and problem-solving skills.
16. Proficiency in lean manufacturing practices and Six Sigma tools; Green Belt or BlackBelt preferred.
17. Skilled in root cause analysis and corrective action using tools like 5-Whys, FMEA, Pareto analysis, and Ishikawa diagrams.
18. Ability to create statistically valid control plans and audit plans.
19. Working knowledge of inspection metrology and automated measuring equipment.
20. Expertise in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
21. Ability to review failure analysis reports and perform tolerance stack-up analyses.
22. Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and relevant software.
23. Familiarity with PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, and problem-solving techniques.
24. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
25. Education: BS in Engineering with 5+ years in a quality-related role (MS preferred) OR 10+ years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing.
26. Experience with supplier quality development and lean manufacturing in high-mix, low-volume environments is a plus.
