The role

Are you highly organised, detail‑driven, and passionate about making a positive impact in children’s lives? Join our dedicated Virtual School team, where every day you help improve the educational outcomes of children in care across Buckinghamshire and beyond.

As a Virtual School Administrator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting a joint‑agency team committed to championing the achievement, progress and wellbeing of children looked after. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful change while developing your professional skills in a supportive, values‑led environment.

This is a permanent, part time role working 15 hours per week, term time only. The salary advertised will be pro‑rated.

About the role

As a Virtual School Administrator, you will be at the heart of a busy, joint‑agency team. Strong written and verbal skills, along with accurate note‑taking, will be important as you support meetings and maintain records. You should feel comfortable working with established processes and systems, and confident engaging with stakeholders from across the education and care sectors.

To be considered, you will need Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English, a full driving licence with access to a vehicle, and the flexibility to work additional hours if needed.

Location: Walton Street, Aylesbury Offices although some remote working from home may be possible.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare:

All unspent convictions and conditional cautions

All spent convictions and adult cautions that are not protected (i.e. that are not filtered out) as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020 and 2023).

We recognise and reward you

Hard work and success deserves recognition.
