We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Science Associate Practitioner to join our Research & Development Laboratory Team at York Teaching Hospital.
We are an experienced team with dedicated research specific laboratory staff consisting of 2 staff, who, under the supervision of the Biochemistry Manager, offer laboratory assistance to a range of research studies across York and Scarborough Hospitals.
The main work base for the post holder will be at York Hospital, with expectations to be able to travel and work at Scarborough Hospital as required. Standard working hours are 08:00am to 06:00pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work possibly required.

Responsibilities
* Help provide an efficient, high quality and flexible Laboratory Medicine service in support of various clinical research projects.
* Carry out assessment of capacity and capability to deliver laboratory support for new research projects.
* Administer clinical trials with careful adherence to research protocols and laboratory manuals, subject to external inspections.
