Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Marketing Manager to lead the marketing efforts for our portfolio of 2 beauty exhibitions – Tones of Beauty, based in the UK and Beauty West Africa, Africa's largest beauty exhibition.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing all aspects of our exhibition marketing efforts for the beauty portfolio, including strategy development, marketing communications, and post-event analysis. This role demands a combination of strategic vision, creativity, and strong project management skills.
Key Objectives:
The Marketing Manager's 2 primary objectives are to generate sales leads and to enhance the quantity and quality of our exhibition visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Planning and Implementation:
· Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for the two exhibitions that align with our overall business goals.
· Design integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote the exhibitions to exhibitors and visitors.
· Develop a deep understanding of the global beauty industry, including key players, trends, and emerging technologies.
· Closely monitor competitor events and market trends to ensure our exhibitions remain innovative and competitive.
· Identify and build relationships with relevant partners across the beauty sector, who can support our efforts of ensuring the correct target audience attend our events.
* Messaging and Communication:
* Develop comprehensive messaging strategies tailored to each exhibition, effectively communicating with both exhibitors and visitors.
* Craft compelling messaging that resonates with our main target audiences while highlighting our unique value propositions.
* Continuously refine messaging strategies based on market trends, feedback, and performance metrics.
* Monitor competitor events closely to ensure our messaging remains distinctive and impactful.
* Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
* Data-Driven Decision Making:
* Utilize data to drive marketing strategies and decisions.
* Establish and monitor KPIs, deriving actionable insights to optimize marketing efforts.
* Analyse data to draw meaningful conclusions and make informed recommendations.
* Budget Management:
* Develop and maintain the marketing budget, ensuring transparency and regular reporting to management.
* Collaboration and Support:
* Work closely with exhibition managers to optimize marketing support.
* Partner with the Senior Partnerships Executive and Social Media Manager to establish new media and social media partnerships and to forge strategic alliances with associations and government agencies to support our exhibitions.
* Agency and Vendor Management:
* Collaborate with third-party agencies and copywriters, providing clear and concise briefings.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in b2b marketing
* KPI-focused with a track record of achieving measurable results.
* Data-driven mindset with the ability to work with data, derive conclusions, and implement insights.
· Ability to work with the latest trends in marketing, such as AI (e.g., ChatGPT) and other innovative technologies.
* Experience in the beauty industry is highly desirable.
* Strong background in campaign planning, strategy, and messaging.
