As a Talent of the Broadwick Soho team, you will drive the Idea of being a glorious hotel that embraces the spirit of Soho, alongside making our guests feel as comfortable as we do through our beliefs of being independent, embracing, generous and exquisite. The sommelier will be the wine expert who curates wine lists, recommends food and wine pairings and advises Broadwick Soho guests on wine selections based on their preferences and food choices. The sommelier will possess extensive knowledge of wines, vineyards and the winemaking process. We believe in flexibility and multi-skilling, and you may be asked to do different tasks from time to time to enable us to meet the needs of our guests and talent. You will work with brilliant talent across the hotel so that we are one team delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience. What do we need from you? A passion for wine impeccable understanding of worldwide wine regions Previous experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5 luxury establishment, ideally in the London market is beneficial but not essential Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively. Great attention to detail Ability to work under pressure Great customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication Good Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office WSET Level 2 and above or similar knowledge. Personable and confident. Your attitude and openness are the most important thing for us. Experience in wine tasting, pairing and design of wine list Understanding of Seasonal British ingredients.
