Offshore QA/QC Inspector - UK
QA/QC Inspectors are responsible for ensuring that offshore projects meet quality standards and specifications. They conduct inspections and audits, assess materials, and verify that work is performed according to established procedures and regulations. Their role is critical in maintaining safety, reliability, and compliance within the offshore industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspection and Auditing: Conducting visual and dimensional inspections of materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
* Document Review: Examining and verifying documentation related to materials, processes, and quality control procedures.
* Non-Conformance Management: Identifying and documenting non-conformances, working with relevant parties to implement corrective actions, and ensuring that defects are addressed.
* Reporting: Preparing detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, and communicating results to relevant stakeholders.
* Client Liaison: Interacting with clients to address quality-related issues and provide updates on inspection progress.
* Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
Specific Areas of Focus:
* Welding and Fabrication: Inspecting welding procedures, weld quality, and fabricated components.
* Lifting Equipment: Inspecting and certifying lifting equipment, including slings, hooks, and cranes.
* Coating and Corrosion Protection: Ensuring proper application and adherence of protective coatings.
* Subsea and Pipeline: Inspecting subsea structures, pipelines, and associated equipment.
* Mechanical and Electrical: Inspecting mechanical systems, electrical installations, and instrumentation.
Skills and Qualifications:
* C&G Part 1, 2 & 3 qualifications OR HND / HNC.
* Several years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in the offshore or subsea industry.
* Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and inspection procedures.
* Relevant certifications in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), welding inspection, or other relevant areas.
* Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
* Ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
