Job Summary
Do you want to make a difference in the lives of young people and their families? Are you interested in changing perceptions, shaping neurodevelopmental assessment services, and promoting positive outcomes for neuro-divergent young people and their families? This role focuses on neurodevelopmental assessment pathways (ASD & ADHD) within Doncaster, with strong links to the Clinical Psychology training courses at the University of Sheffield and Hull. You will join a dynamic and supportive group of psychologists and other professionals committed to a compassionate framework that prioritises development and well-being.
Experience with ASD and ADHD assessments is desirable but not essential. Applications are welcomed from recently qualified, soon-to-qualify, and established Clinical Psychologists.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide consultation to families, schools, and other professionals and agencies on Autism/ADHD queries, undertake ADHD and Autism assessments, and consider differential diagnoses. You will have demonstrable experience as a clinical psychologist or trainee in specialist psychological assessment and interventions across various care settings, with experience working in multi-agency teams representing a range of clinical severities. Formulation of a young person’s strengths and needs is essential, and a doctoral-level knowledge of research design and methodology is required. You will work effectively in a team setting.

Pay: Band 7, £47,810 to £62,682 per year (pro rata where applicable).

Qualifications
* Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical/counselling/forensic psychology (or equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or core professional qualification with psychotherapy training to doctorate level.
* Relevant professional registration as a Psychological Professional
* Post-qualification training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological therapies
* Experience in care coordination
* Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable
* Post-doctoral training in working with psychosis
* Clinical supervision training and provision of supervision to doctoral trainees
Experience
* Essential: Experience as a psychological professional within the designated service, working with a wide range of client groups, across the life course and settings.
* Desirable: Project management and experience with people with psychotic conditions
