Job Introduction
We are looking for a Site Facilities Technician to carry out Maintenance and Repairs on Quarry building fabric and facilities to maintain site standards.
Reporting to the Site Services and Facilities Lead this role is responsible for carrying out Maintenance and Repairs on Quarry building fabric and facilities to maintain site standards.
This role will carry out repairs and maintenance across the site, accurately record works identified on CMMS systems and track completion as well as follow on works.
Role Responsibility
Key Accountabilities Include
* Identify, Complete and Record maintenance and corrective actions for building and facilities maintenance
* Pipework flushing to maintain legionella control
* Maintaining building and facility condition in line with Site Standards
* Completing defect repairs on point of use Plumbing and Electrical systems
* Ensure all works are completed in line with Industry Best Practice and any relevant legislative regulations
* Report any engineering issues to site services and facilities lead, or engineering team leaders.
* PAT Testing
* Carry out regular site walks to identify works required and action appropriately
* All work to adhere to site health and safety policies
* Maintain clean as you go and area compliance with site GMP standards.
Key Areas Of Work
Building and Facilities site standards
* Carry out repairs and maintenance throughout the building utilities and facilities function
* Carry out root cause analysis to reduce reoccurring damage
* Effectively manage own workload through effective use of CMMS system
* Track works completed, spares and materials used on CMMS system
* Complete small Plumbing, Electrical and decorating/pipework repairs.
* Complete building fabric repairs – filling holes, repairs doors
* Complete repairs to office equipment, Chairs, Desks etc.
* Complete wood work repairs to fascia, doors, external facilities housings etc.
* Support the Site Engineering Team to maintain a high standard site
* Maintaining building and facility condition in line with Site Standards
HEALTH AND SAFETY
* Maintain a safe working environment for all people on site in compliance with company and legislative requirements.
* Follow all engineering health and safety procedures.
PEOPLE
* Effective communication through formal and informal engagement with all staff.
* Effective reporting to Site facilities Lead on works outstanding and support required
* QUALITY/TECHNICAL STANDARDS
* Maintain Utilities, Buildings, and facilities in a working order in compliance with quality and technical requirements.
* Follow technical procedures related to general maintenance on site.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience
* Extensive years experience working within an Engineering or Facilities maintenance position.
* Experience of working in a food or other manufacturing environment
* Demonstratable experience working within Site Services or Utilities and Facilities
* Experience working to high standards with a will to drive improvements
Qualifications
* Level 2 qualification in one of the following areas – Plumbing/Electrical Installation/Painting and Decorating
* Pref: 18th Edition, Part P, any Level 3 qualification in one of the above disciplines
Skills
* Be a good team player and have good communication skills
* Have a high level of IT knowledge and skill
* Be able to work both autonomously and part of a team .
