Registrar / Senior Clinical Fellow in Medicine

We have a new vacancy for a Registrar position.
The post will be based on wards at the PRUH and Orpington. The post-holder will attend morning board rounds, ward rounds, and multidisciplinary meetings from their base ward. They will help organize and support junior staff in daily ward operations, ensure discharge summaries are completed by junior staff, and assist in discharge planning.
Main duties of the job
Occasionally, medical outliers on other wards will need to be managed by ward teams, with shared care of patients on critical care. When on the ward, the post-holder will support seriously ill patients and emergencies. Each day begins with patient reviews with the Consultant, prioritizing sick patients and early discharges, followed by morning board rounds with nursing and allied health teams.
About us
The management of inpatient stays is a key performance area for the trust. We collaborate with acute medicine and Emergency Care to manage attendances and are involved in innovative Intermediate Care schemes such as home-based and bed-based rehabilitation teams. A team of discharge coordinators manages complex discharges across the hospital at the PRUH.
