Mechanical Service Engineer (Local Patch)
£28,000 - £33,000 + Optional Overtime + 33 Days Holiday + Van + Door to Door Pay. Orpington.
We are looking for a Service Engineer with mechanical experience to provide a permanent, long‑term, stable role covering a local patch within a 10‑mile radius. The company has been in business for 50 years, employs over 100 staff and provides fuel pump services across the UK.
Role Overview
You will travel up to 10 miles from your door servicing and maintaining fuel pumps in supermarket forecourts. You will work lone but receive initial shadowing and a fully funded SPA card.
Responsibilities
* Servicing and maintaining fuel pumps
* Travelling to customer sites within a 10‑mile radius of your home
* Completing initial training and a specialist course
* Working Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, paid door‑to‑door with one weekend in five
* Optional overtime available at 1.5×
Qualifications
* Mechanical background
* Hands‑on experience as a service engineer on pumps, gauges or similar equipment
* Willingness to cover a local patch
