Associate Professor of Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Impact
Saïd Business School and Wolfson College are recruiting an Associate Professor of Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Impact. The post is tenable from 06 September 2027, or at an earlier date by agreement. The successful candidate will be both a member of Saïd Business School and a Governing Body Fellow of Wolfson College.

The Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Impact group is interdisciplinary, spanning core business disciplines of management, strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation, as well as related disciplines such as sociology, geography, engineering, psychology, economics, cognitive science, and political science. Faculty explore various dimensions of these subjects across the private, public, and social sectors. They regularly publish in top‑tier management journals, such as Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal, and take leadership positions within their fields internationally.
Specific research topics include:
* Systems change
* Social entrepreneurship
* Platform models and AI
* Fintech and digital transformation
* Climate action
* Sustainable entrepreneurship
* Complex systems
Associate Professor is the main academic career grade at Oxford with a focus on research and teaching. Associate Professors are appointed jointly by a University department/faculty and an Oxford college, and you will have a contract with both. Associate Professors are full members of University departments/faculties and college governing bodies, playing a role in the democratic governance of the University and their college.
You will join a lively, intellectually stimulating, and multi‑disciplinary community that performs to the highest international levels in research and teaching, with extraordinary levels of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
Main duties of the post
Research
* Engage in original, world‑class research in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Impact topics.
* Disseminate research through publication in highly ranked, peer‑reviewed journals.
* Participate in international conferences and seminars.
* Demonstrate impact in research and, through this, inform business practice.
Teaching, Supervision, and Examining
* Give lectures and classes as required on our range of degree and executive courses.
* Supervise masters' and doctoral students.
* Take part in examining as and when requested by the appropriate committee for the nomination of examiners.
Administration and Citizenship
* Participate in the administration of the School both in term time and vacation as and when requested by the SIM Academic Area Head (Research) or the Dean and Deputy Dean of the School.
College Responsibilities
* Attend Governing Body meetings six times a year, act as an adviser to up to ten graduate students, and participate in the College Committee system during term time.
