Zeal Permanent Placements are currently hiring for a Balustrade & Structural Welder to join their client in Leicester on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for welding steel balustrades, handrails, staircases, and structural components in accordance with drawings and specifications. This role may include both workshop-based and on-site work.

Key responsibilities:

• Interpret work from technical drawings, blueprints and fabrication sketches
• MIG and TIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel components
• MIG balustrades, staircases, handrails, platforms and structural steel elements
• Operate standard workshop machinery
• Perform quality checks on completed welds to ensure strength and accuracy
• Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  
  

• Proven experience in welding steel balustrades and structural steelwork
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrications drawings
• Skilled in using workshop tools and machinery
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication and Welding (or equivalent) desirable
• Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
