We are seeking an experienced and proactive Property Secretary to join our clients busy and collaborative Property team in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to provide essential administrative and secretarial support to fee earners, playing a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering a professional service to clients.

About the Role

As a Property Secretary, you will provide critical support to fee earners through a range of administrative and secretarial tasks. Your work will help maintain efficient workflows, ensure compliance, and provide a professional interface with clients.


Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and forms using Microsoft Word and Excel
* Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
* Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems, including archiving and retrieval
* Handle billing processes and financial administration
* Audio typing via digital dictation
* Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally and discreetly
* Liaise confidently with colleagues and external clients
* Draft routine legal documents using standard templates
* Maintain client files in line with firm protocols and compliance standards


The Ideal Candidate

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a secretarial or administrative role within a legal environment
* Experience in commercial or residential property is preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Highly organised, professional, and capable of managing competing priorities
