Are you ready to take your beauty or make-up career in a new direction? At EKC Canterbury College, you can share your professional expertise, inspire emerging talent, and shape the next generation of beauty and creative industry professionals. No two days are the same, and full teaching support and development are provided as you transition into education.

In this role, you will:

* Teach, train and assess learners in Beauty Therapy and Theatrical Media Hair & Make-Up

* Deliver practical, hands-on sessions in salons, studios and classrooms

* Support and mentor students to help them build confidence and professional skills

* Lead on courses or study programmes, helping shape what and how students learn

* Design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning experiences that reflect real industry practice

Hours per week: 22.5


Salary per year: £21,958 up to £24,056

About You



You'll be a highly organised and creative educator, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that inspire learners. You'll have strong interpersonal skills, a positive and empathetic approach, and the confidence to manage a classroom effectively. Tracking student progress and using this to plan targeted support and interventions will be a key part of your role.

Ideally, you'll have experience teaching or delivering training in the workplace, although this isn't essential as full training will be provided. You'll be able to teach across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes and motivate learners to achieve and succeed in their studies.

You will hold a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy and / or Theatrical Media Hair and Make-Up

Please note that there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. (Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval). Therefore, internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification
