Scholarship Overview
£29,600.00 per annum, tax free, for one year initially, renewable up to three years. Scholarship begins 1 September 2026.
Role and Responsibilities
* Register for and complete the European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
* Receive core training in academic and clinical anaesthesia and pain management, and peri‑operative medicine (including critical care) at Queen's Veterinary School Hospital.
* Participate in external rotations to gain large‑animal anaesthesia and critical care experience required for ECVAA credentialing.
* Undertake and publish a research project.
* Teach veterinary students one‑to‑one and in small groups.
Qualifications
* Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, or holding a veterinary degree qualifying for membership, with membership obtained before scholarship start.
* Minimum of twelve months rotating internship, or at least two years general practice experience.
* Right to work in the UK.
