The Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Registered Manager based at Cambian Wing College, Bournemouth.
Cambian Wing College is an independent provider of specialist further education and residential care in the South West. We offer day and up to 52-week residential placements for young people aged 16 to 25 years. We typically support students who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health, and a range of behaviour, emotional and complex needs (including medical).
The Registered Manager will hold the legal responsibility for one of the four residential settings within Cambian Wing College. The Registered Manager will report to the Principal on a daily basis, with the Registered Managers responsible for overseeing the management and running of these establishments which may function for 38 or 52 weeks a year.
Essential:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (Children)
Key Responsibilities:
* Registered Managers team hold a shared responsibility for the strategic overall leadership of the Care team at CWC.
* Ensures high standards are maintained within staffing, delegated budgets, resources, the fabric of the buildings, the health & welfare of students and to ensure conformity with appropriate legislation as laid out in the Health & Social Care Act (2008) Regulations 2014, with particular reference to CQC Fundamental Standards.
* Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of individual care and activity plans for residential students, and working with colleagues to ensure the same high standards of care are in place for all young people at all times.
* Contribute to the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and review of policies and working procedures, including participating in and chairing meetings as required.
* Management of the KPI and DYLOS process, and sharing of best practice within the College as well as from within the wider Cambian Group.

* Agreed shared Head of Care allocated leadership responsibilities
* Audits – inclusive of monthly KLOE audits and quality panel cycle
* Peer Support for another RM/ Home
* SLT – on rotation
* Out of Hours visits – on rotation
* Weekly RM meeting with the Principal
* Induction Leadership – to oversee elements of all induction training packages Training Lead – to oversee all training and ensure the care team have the necessary training compliancy to meet standards
* Medication Leadership – to undertake site medication audits and ensure all medication administrators are trained in line with Cambian Policy also undertaking knowledge and competency assessments
* Contribute to the Care Annual Calendar
