Clinical Digital Educator *Internal Applicants*

Interested in improving patient safety by maximising the use of technology in clinical area? Keen to ensure clinicians are equipped with the correct skills to use our electronic patient record (EPR) as a tool to support clinical care?

Then this role is for you.

Working within the EPR programme to support the delivery of training on the EPR prior to go live.


Main duties of the job

* Working in the clinical environment to deliver training and simulation using the EPR.
* Working with the digital training team to share clinical knowledge, ensuring training packages are relevant to clinical teams.
* Monitoring training compliance and supporting clinical teams to achieve required standards for EPR go live.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £21.50 + Administration cost of £5.90 = £27.40. Deducted from salary over a 4 month period or a one-off payment.

Enhanced Check: £49.50 + administration cost of £5.90 = £55.40. Deducted from salary over a 4 month period or a one-off payment.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Registered nurse, midwife or other clinical professional.
* Post Graduate level training, teaching or mentoring qualification or equivalent experience.
* Educated to degree level or working towards a degree or with relevant experience
* Change management or leadership qualification
* Clinical safety officer training


Knowledge and Experience

* Experience of supporting and assessing learners and providing guidance to staff and managers regarding learning
* Experience of delivering and evaluating learning programmes for diverse staff groups
* Experience of working with groups and individuals from all backgrounds, across all disciplines in a variety of roles and settings
* Knowledge of professional requirements related to supporting learners in practice
* Knowledge of digital systems used within NCIC and the wider healthcare setting (ICS level)
* Digital clinical safety requirements.
* What Good Looks Like framework
* Evidence of developing training packages (online and/or face to face)
* Experience of delivering clinical supervision


Skills and Aptitudes

* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work as a member of a team
* Ability to demonstrate the compassionate values and behaviours needed for dignified care
* Ability to work on own initiative and as a team member without supervision
* Ability to plan and work to tight deadlines
* Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
