Health, Safety & Environmental Manager
Location: South Wales

Salary: Up to £59,000 (including car allowance) + 14% combined pension & private healthcare
About the Role
This position is for a proactive EHS Manager who is committed to making a real difference in safety, health, and environmental practices, rather than just ticking boxes. If you prefer bureaucratic tasks like clipboard-waving and endless form-filling, this role may not be suitable for you.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving meaningful change, influencing senior management effectively, and helping the site become safer, healthier, and more sustainable in a lasting way. You will lead all EHS initiatives, manage an EHS Coordinator, and have the credibility to challenge and advise at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and lead the EHS agenda on site
2. Manage and develop the EHS Coordinator
3. Advise the senior team and ensure your recommendations are considered
4. Lead projects focused on risk reduction and hazard elimination
5. Identify gaps in current practices, develop strategies, and implement improvements
Candidate Requirements
Ideally, you will have:
1. 3–5 years of relevant safety and environmental management experience
2. A solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices
3. Strong influence and communication skills to engage with senior management and operational teams
4. Proven ability to lead change and implement effective safety initiatives
