Your Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Technician in Corby, UK. The main purpose of this role is to provide electro-mechanical cover for our mill and packing lines that produce and deliver wheat flour 24/7. The working hours will initially be day shifts, then move to 24/7 rotating 12-hour shifts.
Your Responsibilities
* Working within the Company Safety and Health guidelines.
* Maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Investigating and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns and faults.
* Ensuring food safety compliance.
* Developing and executing small projects within the plant.
* Specifying and ordering replacement parts for plant equipment.
* Issuing permits and controlling on-site contractors.
* Conducting RCA and continuous improvement activities.
* Completing and improving planned maintenance tasks.
* Collaborating within a team to improve plant performance.
Your Profile
* Trained to City and Guilds or equivalent, or a qualified multi-skilled engineer.
* Competent working with voltages up to 415V.
* Computer literate with Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of PLCs is advantageous.
* Fabricating and welding experience is advantageous.
* City and Guilds 18th edition (or equivalent).
* Strong electrical and mechanical skills, with process control knowledge.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work safely both independently and in a team.
