Job Description
3. Assist in the preparation and drafting of wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, and related documentation
4. Support the administration of estates from initial instructions through to final distribution, including obtaining probate
5. Liaise with clients, financial institutions, and other professionals (e.g. accountants, HMRC)
6. Conduct legal research on relevant legislation, case law, and best practices
7. Prepare inheritance tax forms and other HMRC documentation
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records
9. Attend client meetings (in person or virtually) and prepare attendance notes
10. Manage deadlines and ensure compliance with internal procedures and legal regulations
11. Provide general administrative support to the Private Client team
The Successful Applicant
12. Prior experience working in a private client department is highly desirable
13. Strong written and verbal communication skills
14. High level of discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential information
15. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
16. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
17. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
