Working arrangements: Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 remote. During probation: 4 days in office.
Key Responsibilities —
Test Design & Execution:
· Author, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for all new features, enhancements, and production fixes.
· Perform thorough manual testing, covering functional, regression, exploratory, and accessibility requirements (WCAG compliance).
· Design, build, and expand automated test suites (UI: Playwright/Cypress; API: Postman or equivalent) as a core part of feature delivery.
Quality Assurance in Delivery:
· Rigorously validate that tickets and requirements are clear, testable, and complete before work begins.
· Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing clear QA insights and highlighting risks early.
· Ensure all defects are logged, tracked, verified, and resolved prior to release into production.
Operational & Continuous Improvement:
· Enforce integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to guarantee consistent and reliable deployments.
· Monitor live products, triage production issues, and verify fixes promptly.
· Maintain detailed, audit-ready test documentation including data sets, results, and evidence.
· Proactively identify weaknesses in testing processes, tools, and coverage, and drive improvements.
Skills & Experience Required —
· 3–5 years of proven experience in QA / Test Engineering for web applications and APIs.
· Hands-on expertise in automated testing with JavaScript/TypeScript (Playwright, Cypress, Jest), including design, implementation, and maintenance of automated test suites.
· Strong operational experience embedding automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, applying version control, and ensuring automation is a first-class part of development workflows.
· Practical knowledge and application of performance, load, and security testing.
· Solid understanding of test strategies, pyramids, regression modelling, and risk-based testing.
· Excellent communication skills to clearly report defects, articulate quality risks, and recommend improvements.
Desirable —
· Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, fintech), including producing formal test evidence for compliance and audits.
· Exposure to observability tooling (e.g. Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus) to support performance and reliability testing.
· Experience building and maintaining team-wide test documentation and contributing to structured knowledge sharing.
