Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our small finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career in financial administration. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will support various financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. Training will be provided but prior experience in finance or accounts is essential.
Duties
* Assist with sales and purchase ledger data input, processing payments accurately and promptly
* Maintain and update financial records and databases
* Reconcile accounts and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded
* Assist with payroll processing and related administrative tasks
* Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters
Skills
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Good numerical ability and proficiency in basic arithmetic calculations
* Familiarity with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is desirable
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities
* Prior experience in finance or administrative roles is a plus but not mandatory
