Job Description Summary
As a Network & Cybersecurity Senior Engineering Manager, you will be leading an engineering team and working across two engineering disciplines. You will support the solution and engineering centre (NPI, ITO, OTR and Product Care) in all aspects of HVDC Control & Protection Network & Cybersecurity, supporting the design and implementation of Network & Cybersecurity by analysing customer requirements, assessing the necessary deviation from standard solutions, and providing technical solutions that meet the project delivery and tender objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities
* Responsibly leading a team that designs, develops, configures, and verifies HVDC Control & Protection Network & Cybersecurity, driving consistent design practices and common global processes for projects implementation and providing technical solutions that meet the project and tender objectives.
* Overall design of secure networks and communication architectures of the HVDC Control System from concept to commissioning based on the principles set out in IEC 62443-3-3.
* Act as the point of contact for all matters related to cybersecurity and networking in a project environment, evaluating the solutions of various 3rd party suppliers that interface to the control system.
* Support tendering teams during the bidding process for any cybersecurity and networking related requirements from various customers, with knowledge of a range of cybersecurity regulations such as EU NIS, NERC and BDES.
* Ensure the Secure Deployment Guides for the HVDC Control System and 3rd party system interfaces are adhered to.
* Ensure the Security Assurance Plans are followed by all relevant project stakeholders during the complete project duration.
* Define IP address strategies for the complete control system.
* Perform hardening in a substation environment.
* Ensure that project plans contain the necessary activities and studies required to meet the requirements of the customer and the proposed technical solution.
* Recruit, coach, and develop organizational talent.
* Provide direction and/or guidance to exempt specialists and supervisory staff exercising significant latitude and independence in their assignments; may supervise non-exempt employees.
* Manage engineering resources, workload, schedule, and project milestones.
* Play a key role in engineering design reviews and technical leadership, identifying potential project risks and technical weaknesses and proposing safe, reliable and compliant solutions.
* Work closely with internal and external customers to arrive at engineering specifications that optimise the commercial potential of new and existing products, ensuring that available technologies and components are appropriately exploited in product design.
* Keep the organization’s vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
* Build strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
* Develop and execute organizational and operational policies that affect one or more groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.
* Define the project work breakdown structure (WBS), resources, and skill levels required to meet the delivery timescales.
Qualifications / Essential Requirements
* Degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or related field.
* Strong background in Networking & Cybersecurity fields.
* Proven experience implementing cybersecurity network.
* Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as IEC61850 and Ethernet based protocols.
* Knowledge of communication network Security/Hardening and cybersecurity best practices.
* Excellent knowledge of commonly used Layer2&3 protocols such as IPv4, OSPF, LACP, DMZ, VPN/DMS/ADMS/DNP, IEC, Modbus.
* Proven technical leadership in a complex system engineering development environment.
* Preferably experience in control and protection system design.
* Mandatory to have industrial background.
