The role
The General Assistant will include:
1. Working with residents, families, and staff to maintain high standards of comfort in line with cleaning requirements
2. Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site to maintain a safe environment
3. Maintaining stock levels, re-stocking as required, and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
4. Assisting with private room cleans and laundry services as needed
5. Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
Skills and experiences:
1. Some experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is essential
2. Experience within accommodation support services is desirable
3. A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace
4. Good interpersonal and customer service skills
5. NVQ Level 2 in housekeeping/catering or willingness to work towards it
