Marketing Coordinator – External Relations - Marketing

Position Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated marketing professional to join Lancaster University’s Marketing Office on a fixed‑term basis until 31 July 2026. You will be responsible for creating high quality, engaging written and digital content for a range of marketing channels, including email, web and print publications.
The role is based within the Portfolio Marketing Team, who lead on subject‑level marketing for student recruitment. We use content marketing across the whole applicant journey, from top of funnel marketing such as advertising and prospectuses, through our website and social media to more personalised marketing communications via email and direct mail. Reporting to the Faculty Marketing Manager, you will work across a range of projects and support different subject areas within the University’s portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Create high quality, engaging written and digital content for email, web, and print publications.
* Develop content across the applicant journey, including advertising, prospectuses, website, social media, email, and direct mail.
* Work with stakeholders and subject teams to produce marketing materials.
* Prioritise workload to meet multiple competing deadlines.
* Support the Team’s marketing campaigns and activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
* Experience writing and creating marketing content for a range of audiences.
* High attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Experience with content management systems and, photo‑editing and email marketing software is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
* Self‑motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Pattern
This is a part‑time 29 hours per week post, fixed term until 31 July 2026. The post is based at our Lancaster campus, where hybrid on‑site and home working is offered subject to line manager approval. Working pattern to be agreed with the line manager and will include Tuesdays and Thursdays. Members of the Marketing Office typically work three days per week on campus.
