Are you an Operations Manager from a manufacturing, heavy engineering, or similar background?
Are you looking for a role offering complete autonomy and the opportunity to become a General Manager of a multi-site operation?
An excellent opportunity is available to join a thriving manufacturer as they undergo significant investment in both their plant & people. You will spearhead the growth at their flagship facility, learning from the current General Manager as you go.
We are seeking a leader of leaders, someone who can help with the development of supervisors as the business matures. You will have experience working cross-functionally with departments (Engineering, HR, HSE etc.), and a strong background in change management and project delivery.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will:
* Lead and develop a team of 5 direct reports (3 Production Supervisors and 2 Maintenance Professionals) and a wider team of 101 indirect staff.
* Drive operational excellence through strong leadership, coaching, and the implementation of best practices.
* Champion and deliver change management initiatives, challenging the status quo and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
* Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across HR, HSE, Logistics and other business functions to deliver on operational objectives.
* Oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Is an accomplished Operations Manager (or similar), with experience developing and empowering supervisory-level staff.
* Has proven experience delivering successful change management programmes.
* Possesses excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Experienced working in the Manufacturing, FMCG, Heavy Engineering, EfW, Waste, Recycling or a similar process driven environments.
* Is highly organised with strong project management capabilities.
