Footwear Technician x 2Kettering, NorthamptonshireUp to £25,400 per annumHours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekThe RoleWe are currently recruiting for two Footwear Technicians to join a well-established organisation within a specialist product testing laboratory environment.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within technical testing and quality assurance, working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out routine physical testing of footwear, materials, and components using laboratory equipmentOperate testing equipment in accordance with health & safety procedures and industry standardsAccurately record, analyse, and report test results to strict deadlinesSupport the maintenance and organisation of the laboratory and storage areasContribute to continuous improvement activities within the departmentEnsure compliance with quality standards and accreditation requirements (e.g., UKAS)Maintain up-to-date training and competency recordsAbout YouGCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science (Level 3 or equivalent desirable)Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and reliable resultsExcellent organisation and time management skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamA proactive, flexible approach with a positive can-do attitudeDesirable (Not Essential)Experience working within a laboratory or testing environmentKnowledge of footwear construction, materials, or product testingFull training will be provided for the right candidate.Benefits2530 days annual leave (depending on length of service)Company pension schemeLife assuranceIncome protectionFree on-site parkingFlexible working hoursApplication ProcessClosing Date: 29th May 2026Interviews: Early June (on-site)If you're interested in building a career within a technical and quality-focused environment, wed love to hear from you.
