Toolmaker Jig Technician Job Title: Toolmaker / Jig Technician Location: Broughton, UK Job Type: Permanent Overview We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Jig Technician to join a leading aerospace manufacturing team in Broughton. This role involves supporting production within a wing box assembly plant by maintaining and certifying tooling and jigs to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe production output. Key Responsibilities Perform reactive maintenance on tooling to ensure production continuity. Carry out proactive maintenance on critical path tooling and jig features following predefined schedules. Work closely with the Metrology team, using Laser Trackers and CMM instruments to check and certify various types of tooling across the plant. Support measurement activities for aircraft concession data and acceptance checks.Requirements Completed apprenticeship in toolmaking, fitter machining, or machining, qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above. Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience. Skilled in operating tool room machinery, including lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and jig borers. Familiarity with Laser Tracker and CMM instruments is an advantage.
