An opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Technician.

We are among the market leaders in producing custom brake kits and all parts for braking systems for various vehicles, including Road Cars, Classic Cars, Race Cars, and Kit Cars, from one-off specials to low-volume production.
Previous specific experience is not essential, as this is a small, specialized industry with few similar companies. However, relatable experience and an interest in automotive engineering will be advantageous.
Extensive on-the-job training will be provided, with the successful candidate shadowing an experienced team member.

Main Responsibilities
The key aspects of this engineering role include, but are not limited to:
* Sawing: safely operate the saw, communicate with team members to understand requirements, and complete tasks accordingly.
* Deliveries: coordinate with dispatch to receive metal deliveries, verify sizes, mark, and store materials.
* Maintain a clean and organized sawing area.
* Ensure the workshop area is clean and safe.
* Clean swarf from machines and empty swarf bins into the tipper.
* Monitor and maintain coolant levels in all machines.
* Monitor and maintain slideway lubrication in all machines.
* Sweep and tidy various workshop departments.
* Perform finishing and de-burring operations on parts, manually removing sharp edges and countersinking holes as needed.
* Load and unload CNC machines and other jobs safely and efficiently.
* Assist with basic load/unload/QC checks, especially on simpler jobs.
* Learn all aspects of the Hi Spec automotive engineering production line.
Most machines are CNC, computer-controlled.
