Job Description
We are looking for an experienced technical services professional who can plan, assign and direct work across the team while supporting hiring, training and staff appraisals.
The successful candidate will be confident in responding to issues as they arise, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring all maintenance activities meet required compliance, quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform supervisory functions across facility maintenance and utility plant operations.
2. Review and evaluate staff performance to ensure required quality standards are met.
3. Take corrective action where operational challenges or issues are identified.
4. Ensure compliance with building operational rules as provided by the Account Manager.
5. Work with the Facility Manager to ensure efficient utilisation of staffing resources.
6. Assign tasks for reactive maintenance, work tickets and scheduled PPM activities.
7. Ensure PPM and reactive works are completed as scheduled each month.
8. Maintain and update Operations & Maintenance documents, ensuring they are clearly stored and easily retrievable.
9. Liaise with client staff members and department leads to plan access and resolve issues or complaints.
10. Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure safe and effective maintenance and project work.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
11. Experience in technical services within a building services environment, ideally integrated FM in healthcare.
12. Vocational education in an electrical discipline (e.g., C&G Level 3), QS experience or equivalent.
13. Strong knowledge of Works Control procedures and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
14. Knowledge and experience of Permit to Work systems, risk assessments and COSHH.
15. Proven experience in subcontractor and vendor management.
16. Experience managing KPIs and contributing to capacity planning and reporting.
17. Ability to lead, motivate and guide a delivery team to meet expected standards and performance levels.
