Join our growing legal team as a Legal Assistant and help support a dynamic, client-focused environment. We’re looking for an organised and proactive Legal Assistant to support our busy legal team. This is a key role where you’ll help keep cases moving, provide excellent client care, and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. The ideal candidate has a passion for providing high quality support and administration. This role is not a pathway to becoming a Solicitor or a training contract. Role Description You will directly support one or more Fee Earners in our public family law team to ensure they can work efficiently. The role requires strong administrative skills, client service focus, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. The legal assistant is expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative. Key Responsibilities Support one or more Fee Earners with day-to-day legal tasks Communicate with clients by phone, email, video, and in person Maintain and build strong client relationships Handle confidential documents and manage case files Prepare and proofread legal documents and correspondence Attend court with Counsel when required Set appointments, manage diaries, and help meet deadlines Provide general and focussed administrative support What we are looking for Experience working in a legal or professional services environment is preferred but not essential Strong administrative and organisational skills Excellent written and verbal communication Confident with IT systems and case management software A proactive and positive approach to work Ability to work independently and as part of a team What we offer £25,000 – £28,000 starting salary Bonus scheme Private healthcare scheme Enhanced pension contribution 23 days holiday plus bank holidays Office closure over Christmas Hybrid working model Ongoing training and development If you're reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent legal support, we’d love to hear from you.
