Overview
Are you a band 5 or 6 looking to gain further experience in the acute setting? We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our friendly, innovative and dynamic Therapies team at Kettering General Hospital. This is a full-time, part-time or secondment opportunity. This is a 4 months fixed term post.
The post holder will be within a roaming therapy team providing expertise and assessment to the discharge hub, escalation areas and medically fit ward/areas with complex therapy needs impacting discharge.
Responsibilities
* Be the therapy representative at discharge hub meetings – providing consistent, expert therapy advice to inform accurate and appropriate hub decisions first time.
* Provide advice and support to ward therapists on complex cases delaying discharges (identified via, discharge hub, bronze, stranded or therapy staff themselves).
* Provide therapy cover to escalation areas – ensuring these are prioritized equally to the base wards.
* Provide an additional senior therapy decision maker on the medically fit wards to enable positive risk conversations and improve flow.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Physiotherapist eligible for Band 6 position with experience in acute settings.
* Open to full-time, part-time hours and secondment opportunities.
* Induction programme attendance is mandatory prior to starting in the work area (commencement date aligned with the Trust’s Induction programme).
