They are actively seeking a keen, experienced Hydraulic Modeller, willing to take on a variety of projects alongside an established team of professionals, based near the charming, historical town of Newbury.

Responsibilities for the role of Hydraulic Modeller Developer include:
8. Creating models using software packages such as Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow
9. Producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Flood Consequence Assessments, Drainage Strategies, etc.
10. Working on Nutrient Neutrality Assessments, hydrological assessments, natural flood management, re-wilding, and wetland management projects
11. Supporting colleagues, producing technical reports based on the data collated collaboratively
12. Liaising closely with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
Required skills and experience for the role of Hydraulic Modeller include:
13. Hold a Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar, relevant discipline
14. Experience of working in a hydraulic modelling/flood risk role, within a UK-based consultancy setting
15. High proficiency in the use of relevant software systems, including Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow
16. Excellent working knowledge of hydrology, including experience of having worked on hydrological projects for residential and commercial projects
17. Have a keen interest in flood risk and drainage, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
18. Experience of working closely with a range of clients and other stakeholders
19. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
20. Keen interest in data interpretation and manipulation, particularly when applied to report-writing
21. Hold a valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Hydraulic Modeller include:
22. Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
23. A keen interest in climate change and its effects on water-based environments
